Short Artist Bio: Born and raised in the forests of Vermont, Erica Layton has been living and creating in Ridgefield since 2022. Her work explores themes of human/ecological interrelation and resilience. As of 2026, she's creating a new series of works stitched with her own hairs on silk, incorporating materials from her local ecosystem.

She also weaves baskets from home-grown materials, and paints.
