Jeannette Fedorka

I am from New York with a background in apparel design. My love of animals and nature made and my background working in fiber felt like bringing it all together. The technique I use is called felting and uses just a barbed needle. With this and the fibers I can make 2 and 3 dimensional forms. Most of the work is wool but animal fur, silks and synthetic fibers are also used. In my pet portraits I can incorporate the pet's fur making the portrait even more personalized.
My work has been displayed in galleries on the East Coast, Longview, WA and Kalama, WA
