Artist Statement
Depth is my Gateway into the Black and White. Inspirations in my day-to-day life and studies of many different realities have defined the images I create from my Source. My thoughts are brought to reality utilizing pen and ink with the influence of the artistic genius of M.C. Escher. To focus these thoughts into actual images on paper, I define them by interpreting the details of mathematical equations taken from the Fibonacci numbering system.
Dr. Wayne Dyer describes and teaches about Source. I enigmatically draw my connections to it.

Education
I’ve educated myself over the last 17 years in the microprocessor industry. My schematic ideas stem from the many detailed layers and patterns embedded within each microchip. I also incorporate the mathematical engineering used to design and create a microprocessor. I have no formal schooling other than High School, the USAF, 39 years of experiencing life and many reference books.

The Enigmatist
Ron Jones
Depth is a gateway into the Black and White
The younger years of Ron Jones’ life were pretty complicated which is why his drawings are so puzzling and detailed. Ron’s images are designed in relation to his past experiences, his walk with Christ and 17 years of employment in the world of microprocessor manufacturing.
Life started for Ron in 1968 with his birth in Santa Barbara California to parents that he has never known. He was adopted within 2 weeks and spent his first 11 years in Ventura, California. Ron’s adoptive parents then divorced and he spent the rest of his creative days with his mother and sister in the Pacific Northwest with trips to Southern California 2-3 times a year to visit his father.
Although Ron has never known his birth mother and father, he realizes that it’s their DNA line that is the essence to the creation and definitions within his work. Ron was raised with the values and teachings of his adoptive parents, but it’s his mind’s thoughts that are original to the core relationship with his birth mother and father. This relationship through being raised by adoptive parents and also a DNA connection with birth parents that he’s never known is what he defines as his Source.
Ron has always shared a link with ADHD and yet it wasn’t until the mid 90’s that he really learned to connect with his condition. It turns out that the best therapy was found in 1997 when he created his first detailed pen and ink drawing. Since Ron can remember as a child he has sketched and experimented with all kinds of art, but it was this first pen and ink original that sparked an archive within. Ron has created over 40 pen and ink originals since ‘97 and has been adding more color in recent works.
Ron received his 1st professional opinion in 1998 after completing 2 original drawings. An art dealers exact words were, “Nice detail, but you have a long way to go.” It is now 2008. Ron as well as many others believe he has reached that ‘long way to go.’
Studies of various art visionaries and the graphic masters has continually progressed his imagery. M.C. Escher, Victor Vasarely, and Bridget Riley are his main Op Art and graphic inspirations.
Ron invests many hours on every original. His masterpiece, Visions of the Enigmatist, took 9 months, over 500 hrs.
He is an extremely patient man.
The following pen and ink drawings were created by Ron Jones.
